At Stone Hockey Club we field over 17 teams in various matches & competitions throughout the season for all players between 5 and 18 years of age. Most of these competitive hockey opportunities take place on Sundays, with our Badgers teams playing in regular weekly matches against other clubs on Saturdays also. Other opportunities for players 13 and over lies in adult hockey, which takes place on Saturdays.

Our U8s, U10s & U12s take part in monthly festivals on Sundays against other local clubs. This is a fantastic provision for our junior players to develop as both players and people in an unpressurised matchplay environment.

For our U8s, U10s & U12, the highlight of the year has to be the In2Hockey Championships in Feb/Mar where our Junior teams have the opportunity to test themselves against all clubs from across Staffordshire, with the Winners and Runners-Up progressing to the Midlands Round in Apr/May.

At the U14 age group we have the opportunity to enter girls and boys teams in the EH Tier 3 (7aside) Developmental Leagues and EH Tier 1 or 2 (11aside) Championships which we review on an annual basis. Whilst at U16 and U18 ages our boys and girls teams compete in the EH Tier 1 or Tier 2 Championships which is solely an 11aside format competition. Many of these competitions can result in a trip to Lee Valley National Hockey Centre in London for those teams progressing to the late stages of competition.

As well as the above, we also offer a Junior Indoor Hockey programme for both girls and boys at U16 and U18. This programme consists of a pre-competition training schedule in Nov/Dec leading to the EH Junior Indoor Regional Championships in Dec.
